Stephanie Powell is a fashion designer, dressmaker and artist. She has extensive experience in public art and installation including Avalon Art Carnival, Sculpture in the Vineyards, Art on the Greenway, St Ives Wildflower Garden Exhibition and Stony Range Spring Art Exhibition. Stephanie was Kimbriki Tip’s artist in residence from 2014-2015.

 Stephanie primarily works with recycled materials to create sculptures, wearable art, public artworks and installations. She has also worked in various mediums from painting to steel to objects she has found. Her work is quirky, full of character and often communicates a deeper message; the contemporary environmental concerns we face.

 Stephanie has been a finalist and a winner in a number of art prizes including Greenway Art Prize 2016, Sculpture in the Glen 2015, The Warringah Art Prize 2015, Burdekin Wearable Art Competition 2015, Re-magine, Cleanaway Award 2015, Re-magine, Wearable Art Award 2015 and People’s Choice and many, many more.
